Eugenio Marco Rubio

Director, Computational Biology at Editas Medicine

Eugenio Marco Rubio has a diverse work experience spanning over several prestigious institutions and companies. Eugenio began their career in 1999 as a Research Fellow at Technische Universität München and then moved on to Harvard University and MIT for postdoctoral research positions. From 2007 to 2011, they worked as a Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School in the Department of Systems Biology. In 2011, they became a Bioinformatics Scientist at an undisclosed company. In 2012, they joined both Harvard University and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as a Research Fellow in the Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology. Finally, in 2015, they joined Editas Medicine, where they have held positions of increasing responsibility, including Scientist II, Senior Scientist, Associate Director, and currently, Director of Computational Biology.

Eugenio Marco Rubio earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of Valencia, Spain, between 1989 and 1994. Eugenio then pursued a Master of Science degree in Theoretical Physics at the same university from 1995 to 1996. Following that, they completed a Ph.D. in Physics, specializing in Theoretical Physics, from the University of Valencia between 1995 and 1998.
