Chief Officer, Community Safety & Well-Being Bureau at Edmonton Police Service

The Chief Innovation and Technology Officer (CITO) leads the Innovation and Information Bureau in the transformation of tools and processes that bring strategic and tactical value to EPS to help guide current and future initiatives. The Bureau stewards information and technology processes and systems to enable stakeholders to mobilize police services whilst bolstering information collection and enhancing the capacity of it is members. This enables members to leverage innovation and evidence-based data to prevent crime and reduce calls for service, whilst maintaining a secure physical and digital environment. By also being responsible for the Emergency Communications & Operations Management Branch (ECOMB), responding to emergency and non-emergency calls for service and providing real time intelligence, the Bureau is a key contributor to information-led policing and enhancing public safety.
