Karen Martinez Chidiak

Karen Martinez Chidiak has over two decades of marketing and communications experience, currently serving as the Marketing and Communications Manager at Edmonton Public Library since July 2013. In this role, Karen is responsible for managing a comprehensive suite of functions, including media relations, digital marketing, and major events. Prior to this, Karen held a position as Team Lead for Customer Engagement and Retention with the City of Edmonton, where strategic planning and customer engagement tactics were key responsibilities. Karen's earlier career at ATB Financial spanned 13 years in various roles, culminating in the introduction of the myHusky Rewards MasterCard. Karen holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Distinction in Marketing from the University of Alberta, as well as certifications in Project Management and Project Leadership from NAIT.
