David Strong

Sales Executive at Edmunds

David Strong has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. David started their career at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, where they held roles such as Management Assistant, Assistant Branch Manager, and Branch Manager between 1994 and 1997. In 1997, they joined ADP as an Internet Sales Consultant. David then moved to General Motors in 1998, where they first served as a District Sales Manager and later as a Retail Interface Market Manager/eGM.

In the early 2000s, David joined Cars.com as a Channel Sales Manager, responsible for the newspaper Affiliate sales channel. Over time, they progressed to become a Regional Sales Manager, Strategic Sales Manager-Direct Sales, and Divisional Sales Executive-Channel Sales. In these roles, their responsibilities included developing and tailoring sales strategies to specific markets, training and coaching sales teams, launching new products, recruiting and developing team members, and driving incremental revenue through new customer acquisition and increased upsell penetration.

Most recently, in 2019, David joined Edmunds as a Sales Executive, where they focus on building relationships with local dealers to maximize the Edmunds Program's value through analytical reporting, group meetings, and store-level visits. Throughout their career, David has demonstrated strong sales and leadership skills, adaptability to different channels and markets, and a track record of driving revenue growth.

David Strong attended Western Illinois University from 1990 to 1994, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication and Media Studies.
