Grzegorz J. Nalepa

Grzegorz J. Nalepa has been working in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning since 1999. Grzegorz J. began their career as a Computer Network Administrator and Network Security Expert at Cracow University of Technology, where they maintained a heterogenous network and designed an advanced firewall and antivirus system. In 2000, they also began working as an Instructor, Author of Technical Trainings, and Consultant at ComArch. In 2009, they became the Head of the Board at the Polish Artificial Intelligence Society (PSSI), which is a member of the EurAI. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Senior Consultant in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at OPTIDATA Sp. z o.o. and as the Head of R&D Project in AI at Synerise. In 2018, they also began working as an AI Expert and Consultant at KnowAI.eu. From 2019 to 2020, they were the Head of Research and Development Team in the AVA project at edrone and a Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer in the Senguard Project at FreshMail. Currently, they are a Full Professor at Jagiellonian University.

Grzegorz J. Nalepa's education history includes studying Philosophy at Jagiellonian University from 1998 to 2005, obtaining a Ph. D. in Computer Science from AGH University of Science and Technology from 2002 to 2004, studying GNU/Linux, Unix administration and security at ABA, ComArch from 1998 to 2002, obtaining a Diploma in database applications design using Oracle Developper from CYFRONET AGH, The Academic Computer Centre in 2000, obtaining a Master of Science in Computer Science in Control and Management from AGH University of Science and Technology from 1995 to 1999, studying Advanced learning techniques at Dynamind School in Cracow in 1997, studying English Language at International English Institute in Nashville, TN, USA from 1994 to 1995, and studying Computer Science at Nashville State Technical University in Nashville, TN, USA from 1994 to 1995.
