Stephen Dunne has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Stephen began their career in the British Army in 1984 and served until 1991. Following this, they worked as a Prison Officer in the Their Majesty's Prison and Probation Service from 1992 to 1997. Stephen then transitioned to a Sales Manager role at Cooperative Insurance Society from 1997 to 1999 before joining Irish Life as a Financial Services Professional from 1999 to 2007.
In 2009, Stephen ventured into the field of education and joined the Queensland Department of Education as a Teacher. Stephen held this role for eight years until 2017. During this time, they also served as a QCAA Panelist for Ancient History from 2013 to 2014 and for Senior English from 2015 to 2016 at the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority.
In 2017, Stephen joined the University of Southern Queensland as a University Teacher for a brief period. Stephen then transitioned to Faith Lutheran College - Plainland and assumed the role of Head of English Department from 2017 to 2020. Currently, they are working as a Business Development Manager at Education Perfect since May 2020.
Stephen Dunne has a Master of Arts degree with a focus on Classical Languages, specifically Latin and Greek, from Macquarie University. Stephen also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from The Open University. In addition, Stephen has a degree in Education, specifically a GDTL, from the University of Southern Queensland.
