Elaine Kelsey

Elaine Kelsey is currently the VP of Engineering and Chief AI Officer at THIA, a position held since February 2024. Previously, Elaine has taken on multiple roles at Eduworks Corporation since January 2014, including Director of Research in AI/ML and Director of Research Engineering, where leadership involves a team focused on enhancing processes through natural language processing and artificial intelligence. From January to December 2013, Elaine worked as a Technical Advisor for Budget and Planning at CARE and served as Deputy Regional Director for Program Quality in Southern Africa at CARE International from 2011 to December 2013. Academically, Elaine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Scandinavian Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from the University of Washington, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Oregon State University, a Bachelor of Science in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Washington, a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Master of Public Health from Tulane University.
