Yonas Abebe

Yonas Abebe is a Safety Specialist with extensive experience in occupational safety and health. Currently employed at Edw. C. Levy Co. since April 2021, Yonas previously held similar roles at Eastman Chemical Company and the City of Ann Arbor. In these positions, responsibilities included conducting Job Safety Analyses, developing and delivering HSES training, preparing hazard assessments, and implementing medical surveillance databases. Yonas also served as a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan School of Public Health and participated in environmental research as a Volunteer Intern with the Huron River Watershed Council. Yonas holds a Master of Public Health in Environmental Quality & Health and Industrial Hygiene, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biology, both from the University of Michigan.
