Joni Silva

Joni Silva has a diverse work experience. They started their career as a Software Developer at Datalink in 2003. They then worked as a Web Administrator and Android Developer at Keeping Shape from 2010 to 2012. In 2011, they joined AdLead as a Lead Web and Mobile Developer and Team Lead until 2014. From 2014 to 2017, they served as the Lead Android Developer at Pulselive. Their most recent positions include Head of Mobile (R&D) at EF Education First from 2017 to 2022, and currently, they hold the role of Director of Research at EF Education First. Joni Silva has experience in leading and mentoring research and development teams, with a focus on web, mobile, and innovative projects involving AI and speech processing.

Joni Silva obtained a Mestre degree in Computação móvel from Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão de Leiria between 2010 and 2012. Prior to that, they pursued an Erasmus program in Computer Science at Brno University of Technology from 2009 to 2010. Joni also earned a Licentiate degree in Engenharia informática from Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Coimbra (ISEC) during the period of 2005 to 2010. Their high school education was completed at Escola Secundária Avelar Brotero.
