José Carlos Pérez

José Carlos Pérez has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. José Carlos currently works at EFFECT Photonics as a Transceiver Marketing Content Writer, where they create technical content, optimizes website messaging, and develops educational stories for the brand. Prior to this, they worked as a Columnist for SB Nation, where they wrote sports-related articles. José also has experience as a Staff Writer for Between The Posts, where they analyzed soccer matches and co-hosted a podcast. In their academic career, they served as a PhD Candidate at Eindhoven University of Technology, conducting research in electro-optical communications. José Carlos was also a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Rochester, where they contributed to projects on high-power diode lasers and fabricated photonic crystal membrane resonators.
