Spencer Rosero, MD has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Spencer has held various roles at the University of Rochester Medical Center, including Interim Chief of Cardiology and Director of the Cardiology Clinical Trials Unit. Spencer has also served as the Associate Director of the Clinical Research Center at the Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute.
In addition, Dr. Rosero is a Professor of Medicine, specializing in Cardiology, at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Spencer has clinical expertise in heart rhythm disorders and cardiac resynchronization therapies, as well as extensive research interests in developing innovative medical device technology and wearable sensors for personalized medical care.
Dr. Rosero is the Chief Medical Officer and Co-Founder of Efferent Labs (formerly Raland Therapeutics), a medical technology company focused on implantable biosensors. Spencer has also served as the Clinical Director of the Center for Medical Technology and Innovation at the University of Rochester, where they facilitated collaborations between the medical center, engineering school, and industry partners to improve patient care.
Furthermore, Dr. Rosero founded Physiologic Communications, LLC, a company that operated from 2006 to 2012.
Spencer Rosero, MD has a Bachelor's Degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from The City University of New York. Spencer later pursued their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) at the State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences University. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Pharmacology from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.
