Babak Karimi

Babak Karimi, PhD has over 10 years of experience in network and cloud infrastructure engineering. Babak is currently working as a Network and Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at eGain Corporation. Previously, they held the role of Network Engineer at Autodesk Inc. from July 2014 to February 2021, where they managed the day-to-day activity of the cloud environment and led the Next Generation Wireless Initiative. Before that, they served as a Network Research Engineer at the Wireless Networking and Energy Systems Research Laboratory from August 2010 to May 2014. In this role, they designed and developed various simulation software and models related to wireless communication in applications like AMI and the Smart Grid.

Babak Karimi, PhD has a strong educational background in networking and information technology. Babak completed their PhD in Networking at Wichita State University. Prior to this, they earned a Master's degree in Computer Networking from the same institution. Babak also holds a Master of Science degree in Information Technology from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic. In addition to their academic achievements, Babak has obtained several certifications including AWS Certified Solutions Architect and AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS), demonstrating their expertise in cloud computing solutions. Babak also holds the CCNA+Wireless certification from Cisco.
