Barbara Schooneveldt

Barbara Schooneveldt has an extensive work experience in the field of healthcare IT and informatics. Barbara currently holds the position of Strategisch Informatiemanager Zorgpaden | Klinisch Informaticus at Antoni van Leeuwenhoek since December 2022. In April 2023, they are set to become the Product Lead Clinical Solutions - Digital Oncology at the same company.

Prior to their current role, Barbara worked at Leiden University Medical Center from 2016 to 2022. Barbara served as the Product Owner VBHC-IT from April 2018 to December 2022, and as a Klinisch Informaticus from November 2016 to December 2022.

Barbara also gained experience as an Intern at Macaw in 2019, and as a Trainee Clinical Informatics at TU/e Eindhoven University of Technology from 2016 to 2019.

Their career began in 2008 as a PhD position at Leiden University. Barbara later worked as a Researcher at RIVM National Institute for Public Health and the Environment from 2013 to 2016, focusing on healthcare IT, medical technologies, personalized medicine, and patient safety.

Barbara took a sabbatical leave from September 2012 to June 2013. Prior to that, they worked as a Strategy Consultant at The Decision Group, a Management Consultant at KplusV organisatieadvies, and a Project Manager at MedTechPartners.

Barbara Schooneveldt completed their education from various institutions. Barbara obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in the field of VUmc Cancer Center Amsterdam – VUmc Institute for Cancer and Immunology (VUmc CCA/V-ICI), Oncology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) for the years 2005-2007.

Barbara also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Medical Natural Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), which they completed from 2001 to 2005. Additionally, they received a Propedeuse in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) in 2001-2002.

Before joining Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), Barbara Schooneveldt pursued their Propedeuse in Architecture at Delft University of Technology from 1999 to 2001.

Furthermore, they obtained a certification called "The Data Scientist's Toolbox" from Coursera Verified Certificates in December 2014.
