Valerie Lara

Valerie Lara is an experienced environmental engineer with a strong background in water safety and treatment processes. Currently serving as Engineer II at EHRA Engineering since April 2019, Valerie previously held multiple roles at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, including Program Coordinator, Complaint Coordinator, and Environmental Investigator II, focusing on ensuring the safety of drinking water in Texas through inspections and citizen engagement. Prior experience includes a contract position as Project Engineer at AH Environmental Consultants, where responsibilities involved wastewater treatment involving metal removal, and serving as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Florida. Valerie holds both a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering Sciences from the University of Florida.
