Senior Designer – Industrial Design at Eight Inc.

Kristy H. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of industrial design. Kristy began their career as a Designer at Surfrider Foundation in 2012, where they worked on researching and creating an info-graphic animation on the negative effects of Styrofoam. Kristy then worked as a Design Strategist at Empath Medical Products in 2013, where they collaborated on conceptualizing and designing a product for the LMU New Idea Competition.

In 2014, Kristy joined Sempli as a Product Designer, where they worked directly with the founder and designer on conceptualizing, refining, and designing various products. Kristy also managed production drawings, sourced materials and vendors, managed trade show exhibitions, and assisted with production management.

From 2014 to 2016, Kristy worked as the Creative Lead at Lyte Systems, LLC, where they spearheaded all creative needs for the battery tech startup. Kristy collaborated with the CEO and COO to build the company's foundation and designed future product lines.

In 2016, Kristy held various design positions. Kristy worked as a CAD | Industrial Designer at Spin Master Corp and as a Freelance Industrial Designer at Threshold - Target. Kristy also worked as a Freelance Packaging Designer for iam+, where they adapted and refined packaging designs for Will.i.am's luxury wearable technology company.

Since 2017, Kristy has been working at Eight Inc. Kristy started as a Junior Designer and progressed to Mid-level Designer and currently holds the position of Senior Designer - Industrial Design.

Additionally, in August 2016, Kristy briefly worked as an Industrial Designer at Cozzia USA.

Overall, Kristy H. has gained a wide range of experience in industrial design, from research and conceptualization to product design and management.

Kristy H. began their education at Leland High School, where they completed their high school studies and earned a High School Diploma in General Studies from 2006 to 2010. Kristy then enrolled at Otis College of Art and Design from 2010 to 2014, where they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Industrial and Product Design. In 2013, Kristy H. briefly attended Loyola Marymount University for a collaborative studio program in Entrepreneurship + Design, but did not obtain a degree.
