Fernando Rodriguez Perez, PhD, has a diverse work experience in scientific research and academia. 🔬 Fernando is currently working as a Scientist II at Eikon Therapeutics since May 2022. Prior to this, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at Genentech from November 2020 to May 2022. Before joining Genentech, Fernando held multiple roles at the University of California, Berkeley, including Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Lab Safety Officer, CRCC Fellow, NIH Bridges To Baccalaureate (B2B) Research Mentor, and Graduate Student Instructor. 🔬 Fernando also served as a Graduate Student at Berkeley. Fernando started their research career as an HHMI Undergraduate Research Assistant at Gonzaga University, where they focused on developing a sensor for detecting arsenic species in stream water. Additionally, they served as an HHMI EXROP Undergraduate Research Assistant at Harvard Medical School, where they analyzed the tracheal response of fruit flies to hypoxic conditions related to tumor growth. Overall, Fernando's experience spans various aspects of scientific research, including molecular biology, cellular regulation, and biochemistry.
