Geeta Sharma

Scientist II at Eikon Therapeutics

Geeta Sharma has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Geeta began their career as an Intern at Systems Biology Ireland, Conway Institute, UCD in 2014. Geeta then worked as an Intern at Oncomark in 2015. Later in the same year, they joined the Shannon Applied Biotechnology Centre as a Research Assistant, where they were involved in a project assessing transportation mechanisms. In 2016, Geeta became a Marie-Curie Early Stage Researcher at the Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca, working on the ALKATRAS project that focused on resistance mechanisms related to ALK TKIs in different disease settings. Geeta continued their post-doctoral research position at the same institution, with their role ending in December 2019. Geeta then joined City of Hope as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in December 2019, where they worked until May 2022. Currently, Geeta is employed as a Scientist II at Eikon Therapeutics, starting in May 2022.

Geeta Sharma has a strong education background in the field of biotechnology. Geeta completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree from Amity University in Uttar Pradesh, India from 2009 to 2013. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biotechnology from University College Dublin from 2014 to 2015. Geeta then continued their academic journey and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Molecular and Translational Medicine from Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca from 2016 to 2019.
