Michael Blagg

Michael Blagg has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Michael started their career at Ultra Electronics Datel as a Software Engineer, where they played a key role in developing and managing a Service Desk. Michael was highly ranked for their quality assurance work and became instrumental in the test process for operational compliance and certification.

Afterwards, Michael worked at Hand in Hand Marketing as a Web Developer, filling a knowledge gap in the existing team. Michael then joined Dimension Data as a Software Engineer, where they designed, developed, and tested workflow systems utilizing iMarkup, SQL Server, VBScript, and C#.Net.

Michael later joined FractureCode Corporation as an Applications Engineer. Michael was involved in project coordination and scheduling for pharmaceutical and tobacco projects, ensuring compliance with GAMP5 through stakeholder and risk management.

Moving on, they took on roles at Nuuday, first as a Software Architect and Developer, and then as a Senior Developer. Their responsibilities included designing and implementing microservices and modernizing a legacy monolith. Michael utilized a CI/CD environment with tools like Drone, SonarQube, Docker, and Rancher for automated testing and code quality.

Michael then worked as a Seniorkonsulent at Nine A/S, followed by a position as a Senior Software Developer at Monta. Michael is currently employed at Ekstra Bladet as an Android / Backend Udvikler, focusing on Android app development using Kotlin, modern app architecture, and Hilt. Notable features of their work include audio foreground services for playing podcasts using media3 and exoplayer.

Michael Blagg attended the University of Central Lancashire from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Computer Software Engineering.
