Violet Matjila

Violet Matjila has extensive experience in the education and tourism sectors, currently serving as the Head of Department at Ekurhuleni East College since 2010, where management responsibilities include overseeing the Creative and Social Services Department, which encompasses more than 30 staff in various roles. Prior to this position, Violet served as a Training Executive at British Airways Comair, focusing on fares and ticketing training for ground crew in major South African cities. Violet began their career at Ekurhuleni East College in 1998 as a lecturer in the Travel and Tourism Department, where responsibilities included imparting knowledge to students. Educational qualifications include a B.ED. ETD (Honours) in Tourism Promotion Operations from the University of Johannesburg, a Diploma in Travel and Tourism from Ekurhuleni East College, and a Bachelor of Information Studies in Education from the University of Limpopo.
