Jeffrey Stephenson

Jeffrey Stephenson, Ph.D., currently serves as the Vice President of Student Services and Assistant Superintendent at El Camino College since July 2023. Prior to this role, Jeffrey held various positions at American River College from March 2003 to June 2023, including Vice President of Student Services, Associate Vice President for Student Services (Grant Programs), and Dean of Counseling and Transfer Services, among others. Previous experience includes serving as Dean of Counseling and Student Services at Los Rios Community College District from October 2011 to April 2017, and working as a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer at Brant Funeral Service from July 1993 to February 1998. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership in Higher Education from Capella University, a Master’s degree in Education from Western Illinois University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mortuary Science from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Additionally, an Associate of Science in General Education was earned from Tomlinson College.
