Managing Director, Finance & Accounting at EL Education

Andrew Demers is the Managing Director of Finance & Accounting at EL Education. Prior to this, they were the Director of Finance/Controller at NAF from June 2011 to May 2016. During their time at NAF, they prepared all financial reports on a monthly basis and reduced the amount of process time to close from over two months to under 30 days without additional staff. Andrew was also responsible for all phases of the Organization’s budget partnering with the Executive team which includes advising, planning, training, timely processing, and reporting. In addition, they led Organization’s audit and related tax filings, with results of 2013 & 2014 audits yielding no management letter. Furthermore, they were responsible for all grants administration pre and post award to ensure compliance. Lastly, they supervised A/P, A/R, payroll, expense reporting, and member billing.

Andrew Demers has an MBA in Finance & Investments from Baruch College and a BA in Accounting from Queens College.

Their manager is Sherman Carter, CFO.
