Roy Kroeger

Roy Kroeger, MPH, REHS has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Roy is currently working as the Environmental Health Director at El Paso County Public Health. Prior to this, they held various leadership roles in the National Environmental Health Association, including Immediate Past President, President, President Elect, First Vice President, Second Vice President, and Region 3 Vice President. Roy also has experience as a photographer and ran a small business called Iron Mountain Photography. Roy served as the Environmental Health Director - Retired at the CHEYENNE-LARAMIE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT, where they supervised staff and developed and reviewed budgets. Earlier in their career, Roy worked at Western Camera, Marriott Hotels, and served as a Construction Engineer in the US Army.

Roy Kroeger, MPH, REHS has a diverse education history. Roy earned a Diploma in General Studies from Sterling High School in 1984. Following this, they pursued an Associates degree in General Studies from Front Range Community College from 1989 to 1991. Roy then furthered their education at Colorado State University, where they obtained a Baccalaureate of Science in Environmental Health from 1991 to 1993. Most recently, they completed a Masters of Public Health in Public Health at American Public University System from 2019 to 2022.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Roy Kroeger has acquired several certifications throughout their career. These certifications include Stop the Bleed from the American College of Surgeons (obtained year not specified), Certified Pool & Spa Operator (CPO) from the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance in August 2022, WY Pesticide Applicator from the Department of Agriculture Wyoming in January 2019, ServSafe Food Safety Manager from the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation in March 2016, and Registered Environmental Health Specialist from the National Environmental Health Association in 2000.
