Sara Pastoor M.D., Mha, Faafp

Sara Pastoor, MD, MHA, FAAFP has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare field. Sara is currently working as the Senior Director of Primary Care Advancement at Elation Health, where they provide clinical expertise and thought leadership to promote and demonstrate the value of high-performing primary care through technology, research, and collaboration. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Primary Care Advancement at Elation Health.

Dr. Pastoor has also worked as an Associate at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Sara served as the Co-Director at Presence Wellness, a membership-based integrated primary care/behavioral health wellness practice. Additionally, they worked as the Medical Director, Value-Based Solutions at 3M, providing support and direction to the Value-Based Solutions Team.

Dr. Pastoor has also held leadership positions at Crossover Health, where they served as the Medical Director at Magenta Health for H-E-B, and at UTHSCSA, UT Medicine, UT Health Science Center San Antonio, where they served as the Director of the Primary Care Center and Patient Centered Medical Home. Sara started their career in the Army Medical Department, where they served as the Capability Manager for Patient Centered Health IT, Office of the AMEDD Chief Information Officer, among other roles.

Sara began their medical residency at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Pastoor has a strong background in primary care optimization, patient-centered medical home transformation, health IT, and clinical workflow solutions, and has extensive experience in improving care quality and value-based initiatives.

Sara Pastoor, MD, MHA, FAAFP completed their education in a chronological order. Sara started their educational journey at Oakland University from 1986 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Following that, they attended Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science from 1991 to 1995, earning their MD in Medicine. Later, they pursued further studies at Trinity University from 2002 to 2004 and obtained an MHA (Master of Health Administration) in Health/Health Care Administration/Management.
