Theresa Dawson has a wealth of experience in the instructional design and media production fields. In 2021, they began working as a Freelance Instructional Designer and Online Course Developer for eLearningIndustry. From 2017-2021, they were an Adjunct Professor at Concordia College-New York. From 2011-2017, they were an Adjunct Professor of Digital Media at Westchester Community College, a Teaching Artist at BRIC Arts | Media | Bklyn, and a Program Officer: Learning at Arts Council England. From 1994-2002, they were a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, Film and Electronic Media at the University of Wolverhampton, where they grew the Film Studies program into a full Film Studies and Electronic Media undergraduate program. During this time, they also developed and delivered a wide range of modules in film history/theory/ and media production, as well as contributed to grants/festivals/public programming at LightHouse media center.
Theresa Dawson has a diverse educational background. Theresa holds an MA in Film and Television Studies from the University of Warwick. Theresa also earned an Online Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 2015-2016. Lastly, they earned an MPA in Public Administration: non profit management from Baruch College in 2006-2009.
