George Donoghue

George Donoghue has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several years. George is currently working as the Chief Technology Officer at Connected Kerb since November 2021. Prior to this, in January 2021, they took on the role of Non Executive Director at Electric Miles.

From 2015 to the present, Donoghue has been associated with Hackmasters, where they held the position of Hackmasters Associate. Hackmasters specializes in rapid prototyping and piloting of new technology, including smart cars, smart homes, smart health, and smart cities.

Before joining Hackmasters, Donoghue had various roles at Calisen. In August 2021, they served as a Special Advisor, and from December 2019 to August 2021, they held the title of Chief Technology Officer.

Prior to their time at Calisen, Donoghue worked at Calvin Capital Limited, starting in October 2017 as the Chief Commercial Officer and continuing until December 2019.

Another significant role on Donoghue's resume is their position as a Director at Alternate HAN Company from July 2016 to September 2017. In this role, they played a supervisory board role for the formation and implementation of the Alternate Home Area Network, facilitating the penetration of Smart Meters into all property types.

From April 2016 to September 2017, Donoghue served as the Head of Assets and Infrastructure at npower. George provided leadership and direction for the business in all matters relating to the future direction, development, management, and delivery of Asset and Infrastructure strategy.

Donoghue's career also includes positions at British Gas, where they worked as the Head of Asset Strategy from May 2015 to March 2016. George developed industry-leading asset management and supplier relationship strategies and led significant projects related to smart meter rollout and technology roadmap strategy. Before this role, they worked as the Smart Manufacturer Commercial Manager from February 2011 to May 2015.

Prior to their tenure at British Gas, Donoghue held the position of Operations Manager at GDF SUEZ from October 2009 to February 2011. In this role, they successfully implemented new IT systems, managed contracts, and delivered various strategies.

Their career began in 2008 as the Director of Operations at Spark Energy Ltd, where they worked until December 2009.

George Donoghue attended Turnbull High School from 1986 to 1992. Following this, they pursued higher education at the University of Glasgow from 1992 to 1996, earning an MA degree in English Literature, Politics, and Philosophy.
