Aine Whelan

Aine Whelan has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Aine currently works at ESB as the HR Learning & Development Lead since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the HR Mobility & Process Optimisation Manager at ESB from May 2021 to August 2022 and as the HR Mobility Manager from November 2019 to August 2021. Aine also serves as a Board Member at North & East Housing Association CLG since November 2019, a position they hold until August 2023. Aine previously worked at ESB Business Service Centre & Electric Ireland as the HR Governance Manager from July 2016 to November 2019 and as the HR Business Partner from September 2013 to July 2016. Before that, they worked at ESB International in various HR roles, including HR Business Partner from March 2012 to November 2019, HR Projects Consultant from March 2009 to March 2012, and Training & Development Consultant from January 2003 to February 2009. Aine's earliest work experience was as an HR consultant at Loctite from January 1996 to July 1999.

Aine Whelan has a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Human Resources and Business Process Analysis from University College Dublin. Aine also holds a Certificate in Training & Development from Technological University Dublin and a Graduate Diploma in Leadership and Management from the University of Limerick. In addition, they have completed a Diploma in Employment Law from Dublin Business School.
