Bertrand Thomachot

Bertrand Thomachot is a Senior Engineering Manager at Electronic Arts (EA), contributing to the Frosbite engine for major game titles since March 2024. Previously, Bertrand held a similar role at DEPT® from July 2022 to March 2024, leading a team of engineers on projects within Games and Emerging Tech. Bertrand's experience also includes serving as Software Engineering Manager at Two Bulls/DEPT® and at EA from 2014 to 2021, where Bertrand worked on The Sims Mobile and The Sims FreePlay across various platforms. Bertrand began a career in game development as a Junior Programmer at Halfbrick, contributing to popular titles like Fruit Ninja. Educational qualifications include an Advanced Diploma of Professional Game Development from the Academy of Interactive Entertainment and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Melbourne.
