Christof Bucher

Christof Bucher is an accomplished academic and industry expert in the field of photovoltaic systems, currently serving as a Professor for Photovoltaic Systems at Berner Fachhochschule since July 2020. In addition, Christof holds leadership positions in multiple committees focused on photovoltaic energy and electrical energy supply, including Chair of CES TK 82 and CES TK 8 at Electrosuisse, and active membership in various IEC subcommittees. With extensive experience in project management for photovoltaic and distribution networks at Basler & Hofmann AG until September 2020, Christof previously contributed as a lecturer at several institutions. Christof earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from ETH Zürich and has been involved in international collaborations on solar energy integration through platforms such as IEA PVPS.
