Jörg Scherer

Jörg Scherer has over 25 years of work experience in various roles in the software engineering and user experience fields. Jörg started their career as a Trade Fair Booth Builder at Werbeplus GmbH in 1994 and then worked as a Data Typist at Kennametal in 1995. Jörg later joined SELLBYTEL Group as a Customer Support Specialist from 1996 to 1998. In 1998, Jörg worked as an Office Worker at Fritz Design and also as a Student Worker at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. Jörg continued their studies and worked as a Software Developer at AM3 Automotive Multimedia AG in 1999. In 2000, Jörg worked as a Student Worker at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg again. Jörg then joined GfK in 2001 as a Diploma Thesis Worker. In 2002, Jörg started working as a Software Engineer at AM3 Automotive Multimedia AG. In 2003, they joined Elektrobit and worked as a Software Engineer for mobile applications. Jörg was responsible for software development, model based HMI development, and customer deliveries. From 2006 to 2014, Jörg worked as a Team Manager in the HMI Solutions department at Elektrobit. Jörg had technical and disciplinary responsibility for a team of up to 40 people, handled project leads, and acquired projects for various clients. From 2014 to 2018, Jörg served as the Head of Line Management in the HMI Solutions department at Elektrobit. Jörg had line responsibility for a department of 400 people across multiple sites and countries. Jörg also started and ramped up teams in Romania, Finland, and India. Since 2018, Jörg has been the Head of the Competence Center User Experience at Elektrobit.

Jörg Scherer's education history includes obtaining a general qualification for university entrance at Gymnasium Stein from 1981 to 1991. Jörg then pursued Mathematics at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg from 1991 to 1994. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science in Computer Science at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg from 1995 to 2001.
