Matthew Darnall has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Matthew began their career at Kernen Construction in 2002, where they worked as a laborer, focusing on industrial and commercial carpentry. During this time, they gained experience in concrete pouring, sewer line digging, piping installation, paving, and other related tasks.
In 2005, Matthew worked as an intern at Motorola, where they focused on cryptography and specifically implemented Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) on an ARM7TDMI processor. Matthew also presented their work at the IndoCrypt conference.
Matthew then joined Credit Suisse in 2007 as an Associate. In this role, they worked for a brief period before being promoted to the position of Vice President in 2008. As a part of the Quant Strats group, they were responsible for exotics modeling, rates risk dashboards, and developing systems for computing Collateral Valuation Adjustments for the Global Rates Business.
Most recently, Matthew has been working at Element Capital Management since 2013. Matthew started as a Director and progressed through various roles, including Managing Director, Senior Core Developer, and Lead Developer. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Modeling and Technology at the company.
