Sal Savo

Sal Savo is the Chief Technology Officer at Elemental Machines. Sal has also served as a Co-Founder and Board Member at TetraScience from January 2014 to December 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoc Association - Member of the Advisory Board at Harvard University from April 2013 to August 2014 where they were responsible for the development of metamaterials for heat and current manipulation. Savo has also worked as a Research Associate at Boston College from September 2011 to March 2013 where they were involved in cutting edge research on tunable terahertz (THZ) and infrared (IR) metamaterial absorbers for compressive sensing and coded aperture imaging. Additionally, they have also served as a Research Fellow at Optoelectronic Research Centre - University of Southampton from January 2010 to August 2011.

Sal Savo earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Electronics Engineering from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II. Sal also holds a degree in Electronics Engineering from Università degli Studi di Salerno, where they studied microelectronics, photonics, and microwaves.

They are on a team with Michael Dillhyon - Chief Strategy Officer, Robert Pemberton - Chief Commercial Officer, and Michael Kahn - VP of Engineering. Sal Savo reports to Sridhar Iyengar, CEO & Founder.
