Daniel Smitasin

Daniel Smitasin has diverse work experience in design and education. Daniel started their design career as an Industrial Design Intern at DAQRI in 2015, and later worked as an Industrial Design Intern at Continuum in 2017. In the same year, they also interned as a UX Design Intern at Microsoft. Daniel then joined Elementary as an Industrial Design Contractor in 2017, and later became a UX Designer II at Microsoft in 2018. Daniel worked at Microsoft until 2019 before transitioning to ThreeSixty Group Ltd. as an Industrial Designer in 2020. Currently, Daniel is employed as a Senior Industrial Designer at Elementary since 2021. Additionally, they have prior experience working as staff in the Los Angeles Unified School District from 2002 to 2012.

Daniel Smitasin began their education journey in 2009 at Pasadena City College, where they pursued a field of study in Communication Arts. Daniel completed their studies there in 2012. Afterward, they enrolled in ArtCenter College of Design from 2014 to 2017, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Product Design. During their time at ArtCenter, they also had the opportunity to broaden their academic horizons by participating in a Study Abroad program at INSEAD in 2016. This program allowed him to explore the intersection of Design and Business Management.
