Jayne Brookman

Jayne Brookman is an accomplished leader in the biotechnology and food sectors, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at ElentecBio since March 2025. Previously, Jayne held multiple leadership roles at EIT Food from August 2020 to March 2025, including Director of Partner Recruitment and Chief Partnership Officer. Academic contributions include a position as Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Leeds from February 2021 to May 2024. Jayne's earlier experience includes a progressive tenure at Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) from April 2014 to August 2020, culminating as Head of AgriFood, and leading initiatives to enhance the profitability of UK food businesses while working as Food Sector Lead at Biosciences KTN from 2011 to 2014. Jayne's entrepreneurial spirit is evident from founding Merigan RS Ltd and F2G Ltd, along with past roles in commercial management and academia, including a lecturer position at the University of Manchester. Educational qualifications include a PhD from the University of Wales, Swansea and a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Bath.
