Willem-Jan van Dijk

Willem-Jan van Dijk is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in the chemical and energy sectors. Since November 2020, Willem-Jan has served as Team Leader of System Engineering and Lead Engineer at Elestor B.V., focusing on the design and engineering of cost-effective grid-scale flow batteries. Prior to this, Willem-Jan worked at Shell from January 2010 to October 2020, holding various roles including Production Specialist in HF Alkylation and Deputy Unit Manager. Willem-Jan's early career involved positions such as Process Engineer at Shell and an internship at DSM Resins. Academically, Willem-Jan holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Twente, complemented by a BSc in the same field from the same institution, and has participated in political philosophy studies at the Wetenschappelijk Instituut ChristenUnie. Leadership experience includes serving as Team Leader for Athletes in Action and Chairing the VGST student union.
