Wade Smith

Wade Smith has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and industries. Wade has held various roles in finance and accounting throughout their career.

Starting in 1993, Smith worked as an Audit Senior at Taggart Mitchell & Associates PC for three years. Following this, they moved on to UCP of Southwestern Pennsylvania in 1996, where they served as CFO/Controller and successfully resolved accounting irregularities left by the previous CFO.

In 1997, Smith took on the role of Controller at Smith Machine, a chapter 11 steel processor, where they orchestrated a turnaround by restructuring debt, improving cash flow, and reducing operating costs.

From 1998 to 2000, Smith served as an Audit Manager at Guthrie Belczyk & Associates, PC. During their time there, they managed the firm's largest engagements, prepared audit plans, and grew the company's clientele through effective networking.

Starting in 2000, Smith joined NOVA Chemicals and worked as a Team Leader in Corporate Financial Planning & Reporting. Wade was involved in a wide range of financial activities, including external reporting, accounting for hedging programs, and preparation of financial reports.

In 2006, Smith became the Director of Global Accounting & Financial Reporting at Taggart Global, LLC, where they played a key role in business development, including mergers and acquisitions and startup subsidiaries. Wade also led the finance team during the company's attempt to sell itself.

From 2012 to 2022, Smith worked at Viatris (formerly Mylan) in various positions. Wade started as the Director of Mylan Institutional Commercial Finance and later became the North America Commercial Finance Director, contributing to profitability through major initiatives and financial oversight. Smith then moved on to become the Head of Commercial Finance for the Mylan Institutional division, responsible for setting and implementing strategies and achieving financial targets.

Most recently, in 2022, Smith joined Elevar Therapeutics as the Chief Financial Officer, overseeing financial operations and contributing to the company's growth and success.

Throughout their career, Smith has demonstrated proficiency in financial analysis, strategic planning, team leadership, and fiscal management.
