Roberte Kesteman

Roberte Kesteman is the current Director at Elia Group. Roberte has also previously served as CEO of Nuon Belgium NV, CFO and HR Director of Nuon Belgium NV, and Asset Manager of Ridge Tool Europe NV. Roberte has also been an Independent Director of Fluxys Belgium SA.

Roberte began their career in 1982 as a Financial Analyst for Ridge Tool Europe NV. In 1986, they were promoted to Asset Manager, and then in 2002 they became the CFO and HR Director of Nuon Belgium NV. In 2006, they became the Interim CEO of Nuon Belgium NV until the arrival of the new CEO. In 2008, Roberte became the CEO of Nuon Belgium NV, a position they held until 2012. From 2016 to 2017, Roberte served as an Independent Advisor to the Executive for Fluxys.

Under Roberte’s leadership as CEO of Nuon Belgium NV, the company grew to 3rd market position (+600.000 power and gas customers), improved operational efficiencies, and managed the divestment process of Nuon Belgium and integration in ENI. Roberte was also successful in creating a dynamic company culture that engaged people to reach optimal performance.

In 2006, Roberte Kesteman completed an international corporate finance course at INSEAD. Roberte then went on to earn their Master's degree in applied economics from the Vlaamse Economische Hogeschool Brussel in 2007.
