John Rauschenberg has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. John started their career as an Associate Editor at Oxford University Press, where they acquired books in physical sciences and business/management. John was responsible for researching and recruiting potential authors and evaluating book proposals.

In 2007, John became the Owner of Pacific Standard, a literary microbrew bar. John supervised all aspects of the business, including managing and coding the website, overseeing social media presence, planning and supervising events, and running poetry, fiction, and comedy series. John also handled inventory and orders, accounting, renovations, and construction.

From 2016 to 2016, John worked as a Junior Software Engineer at Crisis Text Line. John maintained interfaces that allowed volunteers to train to become crisis counselors and schedule shifts. John also built new features that automated complicated manual tasks for crisis counselors' trainers and supervisors, using Node.

John then had a role as a Letterpress Manager at TULEBURG PRESS from 2017 to 2019. During this time, they were responsible for overseeing the letterpress operations.

Currently, John is working as a Freelance Writer for Elite Editing, starting in 2019.

John Rauschenberg holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley, which they obtained from 1996 to 2000.
