Vera Herkommer

Vera Herkommer is the Principal Legal Adviser at ELIXIR. Vera has held this position since January 2008. Prior to that, they were the Principal Legal Adviser at EMBL from January 2005 to December 2007. Vera has a deep understanding of the legal issues surrounding research and development in the life sciences sector. Vera is a highly experienced legal adviser and has been instrumental in advising on the establishment of ELIXIR.

Vera Herkommer has a LL.M. in European Legal Studies from the University of Exeter and a Dr. Iur. in European and International Labour Law from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.

Vera Herkommer reports to Niklas Blomberg, Director. Vera Herkommer works with Jerry Lanfear - Head of Strategy, Peter Maccallum - Chief Technical Officer, and Susanna Repo - Head of Operations. and Martina Caloi - Legal Officer reports to Vera Herkommer.
