Al Goodniss

Al Goodniss has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Al started their career as a Software Engineer at GN NetTest in 1995 and then moved onto 3Com as a Software Engineer II. In 2000, they became a Lead Software Engineer at AutobyTel. From 2002 to 2007, Al worked as a Lead Applications Engineer at JATO Dynamics LTD. Following that, they joined WebReply.com INC as a Lead Software Engineer.

In 2010, Al joined Broadridge, where they held various roles including Senior Software Engineer, Director of Applications Development, and Senior Director of Applications Development. During their time at Broadridge, they implemented multiple features and contributed to the reimaging of the company's product.

In 2016, Al transitioned to Citrix, where they initially served as a Staff Engineer and later as a Software Engineering Manager 2. At Citrix, they led teams, collaborated with stakeholders, and oversaw hiring events and onboarding.

Al then joined Property Meld in 2020 as a Staff Software Engineer, where they delivered features and improvements and provided mentoring to the development team.

From 2021 to 2023, Al worked at Cimpress, first as a Lead Software Engineer and Squad Lead, and then as an Engineering Manager. In these roles, they supported teams, coached and mentored team members, and implemented multiple features and improvements.

Currently, Al is working at Ellevation Education as a Software Engineering Manager.

Throughout their career, Al has utilized various technologies and acquired expertise in areas such as cloud-based architecture, agile methodologies, and software development in languages like C#, Python, and JavaScript.

Al Goodniss holds a Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in Computer Science from Framingham State University. Al also obtained a Master of Science degree (MS) in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services from the University of Phoenix. In addition to their formal education, they have earned certifications as a Triplebyte Certified Generalist Software Engineer from Triplebyte in August 2020 and as a Certified SAFe® 4 Agilist from Scaled Agile Inc in August 2018.
