Genevieve Cheatham

Genevieve Cheatham has diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and computer science. Genevieve is currently working as a Software Engineer at Ellevation Education since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Netreo as a Customer Experience Engineer and Developer Support Engineer from February 2022 to the present. Genevieve also worked as a Front End Engineer Intern at a Stealth Startup from December 2020 to July 2021, where they gained experience in React, Typescript, and Less, as well as working with Google Firebase storage.

In addition, Genevieve has experience in tutoring and grading computer science at the University of Puget Sound, where they worked as a Computer Science Tutor from January 2020 to May 2021 and as a Computer Science Grader from September 2019 to January 2020. Genevieve has also served as a Summer Immersion Program Teaching Assistant at Girls Who Code from May 2020 to December 2020, where they taught HTML, CSS, and JavaScript concepts and assisted with homework assignments for the Virtual Summer Immersion Program.

Furthermore, they have worked as a Program Director at Wizbots, leading a program that taught students basic robotic and Java coding skills. Genevieve managed the classroom and supervised high school aides from May 2018 to August 2018. Overall, Genevieve has developed a strong skill set in software engineering, web development, teaching, and leadership through their diverse work experiences.

Genevieve Cheatham earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Puget Sound, studying from 2017 to 2021. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained certifications in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in September 2021, and in Inbound and Inbound Marketing from HubSpot Academy in February 2022 and March 2022, respectively.
