Maggie Gillis, M.Ed.

Maggie Gillis, M.Ed. has a diverse range of experience in the education field. Maggie is currently working at Ellevation Education as the Lead, Campus Engagement Manager, a role they have held since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Campus Engagement Manager at the same company from November 2021 to September 2022.

From 2020 to 2021, Maggie worked at KIPP Change Academy as the Grade Level Chair and Mathematics Teacher.

Before that, from 2016 to 2020, they were employed by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools as a Second Grade/Third Grade Teacher/ESOL.

Maggie also worked as a Second Grade Teacher at School Board of Levy County from 2014 to 2016.

Maggie'scareer in education began at SCHOOL BOARD OF ALACHUA COUNTY, where they worked as an Exceptional Student Education Paraprofessional from 2010 to 2014.

Maggie Gillis, M.Ed. completed their Bachelor's degree in Education/Exceptional Student Education at the University of West Florida from 2010 to 2014. Maggie pursued further education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where they obtained a Master of Education - MEd in Teaching English as a Second Language from 2017 to 2020. In terms of additional certifications, Maggie acquired Elementary Education K-6 certifications from both the Tennessee Department of Education in September 2021 and the North Carolina Department of Education in August 2019. Additionally, they obtained an ESOL Education certification from the North Carolina Department of Education in August 2018.
