Eray Arda Akartuna is a Senior Cryptocurrency Threat Analyst at Elliptic since July 2021, overseeing project management and staff training. In a parallel role as Cryptoassets & Money Laundering Project Lead for the Australian Government, Akartuna collaborates with the Dawes Centre for Future Crime at University College London and Australian National University to analyze risks associated with cryptoasset technologies. Previous experience includes positions as a Blockchain, AML & Cyber Analyst at Unfiltered Voices, Teaching Assistant & Guest Lecturer at UCL, and Researcher for The Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime, focusing on organized crime and human smuggling. Akartuna holds an ongoing PhD at UCL and has an MSc in Countering Organised Crime and Terrorism from UCL, alongside a BSc in Politics of the International Economy from King's College London.
