Jim Hegarty

Jim Hegarty has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Jim started their career as an Auditor and Supervising Auditor at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company from 1985 to 1989. Jim then moved on to Argonaut Insurance Company, where they held various positions in Audit and Finance, including Audit Manager and Controller, from 1989 to 1999.

In 2000, Jim joined Wawa, Inc. as a Financial Analyst, where they worked in Corporate Planning and Fuel Accounting. Their responsibilities included reporting on hedging results, reconciling bulk inventories, analyzing theft data, and creating property leases database. Jim also supported the Corporate Controller by analyzing and reporting operating results and evaluating capital projects.

From 2003 to 2007, Jim worked at The Travelers Companies, Inc. as a Senior Financial Analyst, focusing on expense analysis and cash & receivables control. Their duties included managing the semi-annual expense budget, analyzing month-end results, and preparing reconciliations.

Jim then joined Endo Pharmaceuticals in 2007, where they initially worked as a Financial Analyst, supporting financial planning and analysis processes. Jim later became a Senior Financial Analyst, responsible for planning and leadership reporting. Their tasks included collaborating with business partners, creating executive reporting, and ensuring data integrity between SAP and Hyperion Planning.

In 2015, Jim joined Takeda as a SAP Financial Systems Analyst, where they managed finance systems and processes. Jim supported the CFO organization in planning and reporting needs, resolved data load issues, and improved the SAP Master Data creation process.

Their most recent position was at Apple Leisure Group, where they served as a Senior Finance Manager for Shared Services, Corporate, and Vacation Package Brands. Jim led a team of analysts in creating monthly and ad hoc analysis, forecasts, and reports for senior management. Additionally, they played a crucial role in integrating merged companies into a single Shared Services unit and worked closely with the Financial Reporting team to ensure accurate reporting.

Currently, Jim is employed as a Senior Manager - FP&A at ELMC Risk Solutions, LLC, which they started in 2019.

Jim Hegarty has a diverse education history in the field of business and insurance. Jim started their education journey by earning their diploma in academic studies from Sun Valley High School in 1981. After completing high school, they attended Penn State University from 1981 to 1983, where they pursued a degree in Business Administration, although the specific degree name is unknown. In 1984, they attended Widener University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus on Accounting, which they completed in 1985. Continuing their education, from 1989 to 1992, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, at some point in their career, they acquired various certifications related to Insurance and Risk Management, such as CPCU, ARM, APA, AIAF, AIT, AIS, which were earned through The Institutes.
