Gonzalo López

Gonzalo López has extensive experience in the renewable energy industry, with a focus on asset management and operations and maintenance. Gonzalo most recently worked as the Director of Operation and Maintenance at ELMYA since 2022. Prior to that, they served as the ROC Responsible at SOLARPACK, where they managed a team of 5 people working round the clock to analyze and improve plant productivity. Before that, Gonzalo worked as the Country Asset Manager at Grupo Ortiz, where they oversaw the portfolio in Mexico and played a key role in technical reports and negotiations. Gonzalo also served as a Senior Asset Manager at Blue Tree Asset Management, where they were responsible for performance analysis, project reporting, and managing O&M service agreements. Gonzalo's career in the renewable energy industry began at X-Elio, where they worked as an Asset Manager focusing on O&M from 2012 to 2018.

Gonzalo López has a strong education background in naval architecture and marine engineering. Gonzalo completed their Bachelor's degree in Ingeniero Naval y Oceánico from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 2009 to 2014. In addition, they attended the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2011 to 2012, where they pursued a degree in Marine Technology, specializing in naval architecture and marine engineering. Prior to this, they obtained their Diplomado en Máquinas Navales from the Universidad de Cantabria, where they studied from 2004 to 2009. Along with their educational achievements, Gonzalo López also obtained a certification for working with Medium and High Voltage in April 2013.
