Sam King

Sam King, JD, SPHR has over 19 years of experience in the labor and employment field. In 2001, they began their career as an Associate Attorney in the Labor and Employment Practice Group at King & Ballow. In 2004, they moved to Ballard Spahr LLP as a Senior Associate in the Labor & Employment Practice Group, where they represented public sector employers in a variety of labor and employment litigation matters and arbitrations. In 2007, they became Labor & Employment Counsel at Dow Jones & Company, where they advised and worked closely with HR to resolve challenging employee relations matters and formulated, implemented and enforced workplace policies. In 2011, they joined MRP as Vice President & Global Head of Human Resources and Organizational Development, and in 2020 they were appointed Chief People Officer at eLocal.com – a HomeServe plc company, where they are responsible for leading the people and culture strategy for a leading digital advertising and lead generation network.

Sam King holds a JD from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, a B.A. in Sociology from The Johns Hopkins University, and attended Holy Ghost Preparatory School.
