Megan Cox, PhD

Megan Cox, PhD has a diverse work experience in the fields of pharmaceuticals and research. Megan is currently working at Eloxx Pharmaceuticals as an Associate Director, where they lead multiple programs through IND enabling studies and coordinates various functions within the organization. Prior to this, they worked at Sanofi as a Principal Scientist, focusing on researching treatments for rare genetic bone and muscle diseases. Megan also had a role as a Senior Scientist at Sanofi, where they led a late stage discovery project and managed a research team working on multiple projects. Megan'searlier experience includes working as a Postdoctoral Associate at Sanofi, where they researched treatments for rare genetic bone diseases using ex vivo fetal mouse femur cultures and stably transfected cell lines. Megan began their career as a Research Technician at Massachusetts General Hospital, studying the roles of the Vitamin D receptor in maintaining hair follicle cycling and the effect of phosphate on fracture repair and bone development. Prior to that, they were a PhD Graduate Student at The University of Alabama at Birmingham, where they investigated the transcriptional regulation of intervertebral disc development in mouse and chicken. Through their various roles, Megan has demonstrated expertise in research and pharmaceutical development.

Megan Cox, PhD, obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology, General from the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 1999 to 2003. Megan then pursued their higher education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Developmental Biology and Embryology from 2007 to 2013.
