Job description: The SVP of Product will outline the product’s vision statement and ensure that vision is shown in the products and has a meaningful impact on the customers and the company’s revenue. A successful candidate will be product-quality focused with a strong engineering background, business sense, strategic mindset to thrive in a fast-paced fin-tech environment, and demonstrated track record at B2B enterprise SaaS companies. The SVP will be responsible for creating and executing on strategies to define product roadmap and deliver product features on time.

Location: This position will be based in the California Bay Area. You are expected to work from Eltropy’s new HQ in Santa Clara, CA when not traveling.

Key criteria

Must have

  • Worked with companies having customers in the U.S. and product engineering teams in India.

  • Scaling:  Minimum 5 years of proven track record as a Head of Product for a B2B enterprise SaaS startup that has scaled $50M to $100M+ in ARR at least in one of the companies.

  • Experience with complex SaaS Product Portfolio in communication space with real time impact (dial-in voice, AI-voice): Experience managing multiple product lines or a platform w/ multiple modules; integration experience is a must.

  • Technical background: Previous technical/engineering background; ability to collaborate effectively with product engineering to align product and engineering objectives.

Essential functions:

  • Creating product vision : As the head of the product department, you will design the product's vision. This involves thinking long-term and formulating a plan for the product’s future, a product map, with a clear description of how to follow that plan.

  • Ensure team cohesion: You will look out for the interest of your team members, motivate the team, and head collaboration with external teams to deliver a good result.

  • Leadership: You must be able to supervise, manage problems and be a people person. You will also have a can-do spirit, willing to take responsibility for mistakes, even on behalf of your  team, and possess emotional intelligence.

  • Communication and collaboration: Communicate the product’s vision to the company’s stakeholders. Provide feedback to the product team. Report on strategy and plans to the CEO. Give direction to other product leaders.

  • Analytical mindset: You must be able to dig into data, analyze data sets and interpret them enough to create data-driven strategies to help figure out product trends, customer needs, and product performance.

  • Customer-centric: You will be the product’s biggest advocate to customers. You will be focused on making better products to keep customers satisfied and engaged. You will always have a pulse on the customer’s needs and complaints, which will be subsequently used in creating delightful products.

  • Business acumen: You must be able to tie every strategy and product iteration to the business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science (MBA or advanced degree is a plus)

  • Proven experience as a senior product leader in B2B enterprise SaaS company, with a track record of successful product launches

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills

  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • In-depth knowledge of industry trends and technologies

  • Experience with product management tools and methodologies
