Senior Graphic Designer: Technical Lead at Elum

Janet Hirata Stall has been working in the graphic design and illustration field since 1996. Her work experience includes being a Graphic Designer for Scripps Health from 1999 to 2001, Freelance Graphic Designer for Self Employed from 2001 to 2006, Art Instructor for Little Artists from 2001 to 2006, Senior Graphic Designer for Journey Community Church from 2007 to 2022, and Freelance Graphic Designer & Illustrator for Elum Designs, Inc. from 2022 to present. Janet has designed materials for individuals, corporate clients, small businesses and non-profit organizations, including branding, logos and collateral, website design, surface design, wrapping paper, greeting cards, book cover design, book interior design, curriculum design, brochures, flyers, advertisements, signage and invitations. Janet has also created and regularly updated series graphics and logos, website content, email communications, mobile app content, presentation graphics, promotional materials, brochures, booklets, display graphics, signage, posters, banners, and advertisements. In 2020, they assisted the team to launch interactive and engaging online services and enhanced digital delivery of communication materials through mobile app and website updates. Janet was also the project lead on mobile app design and launch leading to 6,500+ downloads with regular weekly engagement.

Janet Hirata Stall obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Visual Arts - Studio Art from UC San Diego. Janet also holds a Google UX Design Professional Certificate from Coursera obtained in February 2022, as well as a Google UX Design Specialization from Coursera and Google obtained in February 2022. Additionally, they hold seven other certificates from Coursera and Google, including Responsive Web Design in Adobe XD (November 2021), Create High-Fidelity Designs and Prototypes in Figma (October 2021), Conduct UX Research and Test Early Concepts (September 2021), Build Wireframes and Low-Fidelity Prototypes (August 2021), Start the UX Design Process: Empathize, Define, and Ideate (July 2021), and Foundations of User Experience (UX) Design (June 2021).
