Gorkem Gurgun

Gorkem Gurgun has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several industries. Gorkem has held various financial and managerial roles in prominent companies. Gurgun started their career in 1996 as a Senior Financial Analyst at Pegasus Airlines and later joined KPMG in 2002 as a Senior Associate. Gorkem then progressed to the role of Experienced Senior Associate - Alternative Investments before moving to PwC in 2006 as an Experienced Manager in Wealth and Asset Management. In 2011, Gurgun joined State Street as AVP & Head of Financial Reporting. Gorkem transitioned to Manulife in 2013 and served as the Managing Director & Controller and later as the CFO - Manulife Asset Management Limited. Gurgun's next career move was to Alignvest Management Corporation in 2019, where they worked as a Group Controller. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Financial Officer at Embark Student Corp., where they previously served as the Vice President of Finance (Acting CFO) and the Controller & Treasurer.
