Michael McGowan

Michael McGowan has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Michael most recently served as the Head of HR at Embark Group, where they led a multi-site team and focused on change management, employee engagement, wellbeing, and enhancing the employee value proposition. Prior to this, they worked as an HR Business Partner at Nottingham Building Society and Coutts, where they collaborated with senior management on various HR functions such as performance management, talent management, and strategic planning. Michael also held roles at Royal Bank of Scotland as a Resourcing Manager and Resourcing Consultant, responsible for managing recruitment efforts and building relationships. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Recruitment Consultant at Frazer Jones, specializing in the mid to senior interim market. Michael began their career as an Executive Assistant at Hotel Intercontinental Paris Avenue Marceau.

Michael McGowan completed their A Levels in Economics, French, and Geography at Loughborough Grammar School from 1992 to 1999. Following this, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in French (with Management Studies) at the University of Leeds from 1999 to 2003.
